Meeting in the Rufford Village Hall

That the minutes be verified as a correct record and signed.
Matters
arising.
Causeway
Garage.
Letter received from WLDC stating that planning permission
was not required for the change of use for that of selling
wines.
Community
Futures.
Next meeting to be held on the 30th September 02. followed
by an exhibition in the Village Hall on 13th October.
Finance
Report.
No progress yet made over the management plan for the
recreation ground.
Due to the dry weather over recent days it as has been
impossible to carry our investigations over the flooding
of the tennis court at Holmeswood.
General
Correspondance. etc.
Litter Bins (Inners)
A quote received from Gordon Bradshaw Ltd. for replacement
of the inners of the litterbins on the recreation ground.
£22. plus vat per bin. Cllr Gordon declared an interest
in this subject and withdrew from the debate. Prop. Cllr
Cummings. Sec. Cllr Colling. That the Parish Council accepts
the quote and asks the firm to carry out the work as soon
as possible.
Wheeled
Bin.
WLDC to be asked to supply a Wheeled Bin and for it to
be situated at the Holmeswood Village Hall Site. (starting
April 2003.)
Grit
Bins.
The Parish Council to request four bins for Rufford and
Holmeswood
a. Recreation Ground.
b. The School. Flash Lane.
c. Top of Cousins Lane.
d. Village Hall Site Holmeswood.
Rufford
Old Hall.
Request from the above for permission to use both Hesketh
Court and the Village Hall Car Park on the weekend of
the 14 & 15th Sept whilst their Craft Fair is taking
place.
School
Transport.
LCC & the local M.P. have both written and submitted
their findings; The Parish Council discussed the matter
and agreed to await further explanations.
Football.
Dads (School)
Request to us the recreation ground on the 22nd September
for this fixture. No objection as long as insurance is
found to cover the event by the organisers.
Sluice.
Brick Kiln Lane - Cousins Lane.
Section at the Brick Kiln Lane end still not cleared and
the rubbish not removed. Letter to be sent to the river
Authority stating this.
Signs
A59.
Road signs on the A59 through the village require cleaning
and certain signs are difficult to see due to overhanging
foliage. LCC to be informed.
