Matters
arising.
Fayre Game etc.
Cllrs Grace. Lee. Colling and the clerk attended a meeting
at WLDC to discuss the problems that are constantly arising
with these sites. WLDC promised to look into these matters
and to inform us accordingly.
Election
of representative.
P.C. Internal auditor. Mr. G.D.Rawsthorne.
Parish
Plan. ClIr. Lee
Hesketh Arms. No reliable information received to date.
A59. work proceeding slowly.
Finance.
Cllr Gordon
PC agree to pay approx £100. for Web Site sponsorship.
Cllr. Lee to make the arrangements.
PC also agreed to the purchase of 4 new bins for the recreation
area.
Request from the Army Cadets for a grant. This to be looked
at by the finance committee.
Village Hall grants and clerks annuity to be paid immediately.
General
correspondence.
Audit to take place on the 11th August.
Details of where and when books will be on show will be
placed on the notice boards.
The Internal Auditor signed the declaration of authenticity
All members of the council have had the accounts made
available for their
consideration.
Community
Health Council.
Cllr Colling to attend a meeting on the 7th July at Skelmersdale
Cricket Club.
LAPTAC
Cllrs informed of the times the above offices are open
for business.
Scouts.
Letter of thanks received over our contribution.
They also received confirmation that their insurers details
covered all our concerns over the bonfire night display.
Over
40s Football matches.
Letter recently received from a resident of Much Hoole
requesting the use of the
recreation ground during the summer for various matches.
The Parish Council
discussed the matter but unfortunately could not agree
to the request. Clerk to reply.
Discussion
workshop.
Cllr Grace attended a meeting on the 6th July over environmental
matters. Cllr Grace to follow this up with matters that
have arisen of general cleaning since that date
Rufford
School
Miss R. Farrington is the newly appointed teacher at Rufford.
General
items.
Flash Lane. Vehicles still ignoring the "No Entry"
sign on the A59.
Sluice. The paths along side the sluice between Cousins
Land and Sluice Lane are very badly overgrown and need
attending to. The sluice is also becoming congested with
weeds.
Smithy
Lane Holmeswood
The green needs cutting, WLDC to be informed
Hedge on Tootle Lane opposite "Goldings Farm"
needs attention Cllr Colling attending to the matter.
Footpath N022 Holmeswood, overgrown at numerous points.
