Meeting
in the Rufford Village Hall
Monday 15th December, 2003.
Present.
Curs Grace, Gordon, Ashcroft, Rimmer, Cummings and 7 members
of the public.

Before
the commencement of the meeting the Chairman Cllr Grace
requested that all people present stand for a few moments
in respect of Cllr Lee who died on the 8h Nov.03.
Minutes
of last meeting. Prop Cllr Cummings. Sec. Cllr Ashcroft.
That the minutes be verified as a correct record and signed.
Matters
arising from the minutes.
Vandalism.
Rec Ground fire. Picnic Table.
The parents of the youths responsible for the above damage
have now been sent letters requesting payment of the amount
involved in repairing same.
Rufford
Holmeswood Village Plan.
Nothing to report.
Refuse
Recreation Ground. Residents who have been using
the grounds in which to dump refuse and burn litter etc
have been asked to remove all traces of same from the
grounds.
Broadband.
No progress in the Rufford lHolmeswood District over being
able to receive this facility. A circular to be sent out
to all households asking for residents to support this
appeal and that the Parish Council to finance the cost
of the stationery etc used in doing so.
Fayre
Game. Station Rd site. Sluice Lane. WLDC to be
further informed over the Parish Councils displeasure
over the length of time already taken over taking action
with regard to these sites.
General
Correspondence.
Council for Voluntary Service.
Village Plans. Clerk to complete the Pro forma and return.
WLDC.
Grant.
Bid prepared and submitted in the sum of approx £6000.
for money towards the play area.
Vacancy.
Rufford Ward.
Letter to be sent out to every household in the ward asking
anybody interested to contact us.
Albert Rd.
Island at the junct of the road and Cousins Lane needs
further attention.
Sluice
Lane. Rufford.
Mr. Pickervance who owns the land in question stated that
he was in constant contact with WLDC over the problems
relating to this and that the Enforcement Officer his
meeting him shortly.
Station
Rd. Site.
WLDC to be informed the it appears that goods are being
advised for sale at this site.
B5246 Hospital Site Wall. WLDC to be informed that the
damaged wall as not yet been repaired.
National
Trust.
Request for use of Village Hall car park on the weekend
of 20th/21st Dec. Agreed. The trust to be notified that
due to the increase in the use of these facilities it
may result in charges being made. The charge may be in
the form of a contribution to the Village Hall.
Audit.
New forms now received, duly signed and agreed by the
Parish Council. (Documents have been lost in the post
twice in recent weeks)
